When you call your English conversation partners, what will you say?

 
Here are a few phrases to help you get started:
 
            Hello, is this     (name of person you are calling)    ?
           
            My name is _______________________________.
 
            I’m happy to meet you.
 
If you haven’t used this system before, you might say:
 
            This is my first time to use Skype/MSN Messenger in English.
 
            Have you talked by Skype/MSN Messenger before?
 
            Is this your first time to use Skype/MSN Messenger to practice English?
 
To begin a discussion, you can say:
 
            What would you like to talk about today?
 
            Let’s talk about . . . .
           
            I’d like to talk about (topic).
 
            What are you interested in talking about?
 
To ask your partner’s opinions or express your own, you can say:
 
            What do you think about . . . ?
 
            In my opinion, . . .
 
            I think (that) . . . .
 
            I don’t think (that) . . .
